The official language of Cape Verde is Portuguese, given that it is an ex-colony of Portugal who gained Independence in 1975. VISAS

Getting a visa in Cape Verde has never been easier. There is a small fee which can be paid either through your tour operator or airline in advance of your trip, or you can easily pay on arrival before passport control at the Cape Verde airport that you enter. For two weeks is approx. £20pp.
