Brava means "wild" in Portuguese.
It is the island of flowers and the greenest in Cape Verde. It's also the smallest inhabited island in the Cape Verde archipelago.
The rainy season (August to September) brings the plants and flowers to life and creates a colorful picture.
Throughout the island coconut, date palms and almond trees can be seen as well as hibiscus, bougainvillea, and oleander flowers which brighten up the scenery.
