Santiago is a balanced island offering a little bit of everything.
It's home to the capital city of Cape Verde; Praia but the island includes a contrasting landscape with exotic outlines and green valleys, mountains and slopes alive with agriculture and also attractive beaches in the north.
There is much history to be acknowledged here including that of the Atlantic slave trade which is still being uncovered.
The lively city of Praia hosts many restaurants, bars and nightlife venues and throughout the island, there are lots of activities to enjoy from safari and sightseeing to fishing and diving.
